La Lumiere School welcomes applications from students who value character, scholarship, and faith. Students
who are successful at La Lumiere School are creative, energetic, and eager for academic and personal growth.
In evaluating your application for admission, we will carefully review all of the information presented. Recommendations, shadow days, testing, and personal statements all provide insight that assist the Admissions Office in making a decision. It is the policy of La Lumiere School not to discriminate in educational programs, hiring, or activities on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, sexual identity, age, religion, or ability or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law. All students are welcome to apply.
To be considered in the first round of admissions decisions, all application materials, shadow days, student interviews, and testing must be completed by the application priority date: January 16, 2017.
Applicants must complete this fillable PDF application and email to email@example.com for admission (we recommend using Acrobat Reader. Click here for a free download), and mail a non-refundable $50 application fee to the School. Please make checks payable to La Lumiere School.
2. Shadow Day
A shadow day is required for all applicants to experience a typical day at La Lumiere School. During the
shadow day, applicants are required to meet with a member of the admissions team. This conversation allows
the opportunity for asking questions and helps us determine whether La Lumiere is a good fit. Shadow days
are available by appointment on most Tuesdays through Fridays when school is in session.
La Lumiere School requires an official transcript from the current school of each applicant. Please complete the top portion of this form and either email or give it to the applicant’s current school to submit transcripts.
5. Graded Writing Sample
Applicants must submit a copy of a graded writing sample from an academic course.
6. Test Scores
Incoming ninth grade applicants must submit Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) scores. The SSAT is offered nationally each month during the school year, and La Lumiere School is a registered test site for the exam. Please visit ssat.org for more information and to register for the exam. La Lumiere’s SSAT code is 4465. Email us to request a test fee waiver. Incoming tenth and eleventh grade applicants must submit SSAT, PSAT, SAT, or ACT scores.
