La Lumiere has the unique opportunity to take advantage of our campus as an outdoor laboratory. The Environmental Sciences program inspires our students to environmental stewardship through academics and engagement with the campus including our natural, spring-fed lake, abundant wildlife and wooded acres.

During the summer, La Lumiere offers a Marine Ecology class. The 2012 offering will be "Tropical Marine Ecology" held onsite in the Cayman Islands.
