Being a Varsity White basketball player at La Lumiere School means every day is an exercise in perseverance and determination. Team members must be able to train and compete at a world-class level while excelling in top-notch classroom studies. La Lumiere student-athletes recognize that striving to do your best starts every day before class even begins—and doesn’t stop until you close your eyes at night.
If you understand the unique commitment it takes to balance being a basketball player and a scholar at La Lumiere, are entering grades 9-11, and are up for taking on the challenge, show us what you’ve got at our first ever Basketball Skills Evaluation.
Join Coach Pat Holmes and the basketball team for 45 minutes of skill work and 45 minutes of pick-up on Wednesday, March 27th starting at 4:00 p.m. CST at La Lumiere’s Marsch Gymnasium. Please note: This opportunity is limited to 12 participants. Because of the exacting standards of the program, we require all participants to have submitted a complete application for admission to La Lumiere School in advance of the event.
At La Lumiere, hard work doesn’t just happen on the court or in the weight room. It happens in the classroom, in the dorm, even on stage giving a presentation. If you're confident you’ll thrive in this environment, we welcome your application and we hope to see you on the court in March. To begin the process of applying to La Lumiere, visit https://www.lalumiere.org/admissions/inquire and indicate your interest in playing basketball on the form provided.
Please direct all questions regarding the admissions process and the Basketball Skills Evaluation event to Megan Stiphany, Director of Enrollment Management, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (219) 326-7450.
Remember, we will not accept participants who have not completed an application for admission to the school. This event is open to students entering grades 9-11 only.
