The College Advising Office at La Lumiere works with each student to help find colleges and universities where they will be challenged, happy, and successful. We want our students to find the best matches for them individually, and our goal is to do this with as little stress and pressure on them as possible. We also aim to help them develop skills such as critical thinking, analytical reading, clear communication, and deliberate decision-making that will serve them in their lives as college students and beyond.
For college and university representatives
We welcome representatives from college and university campuses throughout the country during both fall and spring semesters. In addition, our college advisor serves as an ambassador to college admission offices nationwide through visits and phone calls, thereby promoting an understanding of the value and unique nature of a La Lumiere education.
for parents of la lumiere students
La Lumiere students are admitted to some of the most recognized colleges in the United States. Rather than produce a list of those schools, however, we prefer to provide a list of all the schools that have accepted our students. To do otherwise, to only talk about those considered prestigious colleges, demeans the significant efforts of students who work every bit as hard, if not harder, to earn their acceptances to colleges some may not recognize.
