On May 27, 2022, La Lumiere celebrated its fifty graduates of the Class of 2022 during the School’s 55th annual Commencement Ceremony. Commencement serves as a milestone for our community, a time to honor graduates and their important accomplishments. It is also a first step into what is beyond.

Read MoreLa Lumiere juniors Maisie Jenuwine, Dana Mulco, Sabina Patel, and Mia Risser were recently named Rising Stars of Indiana by the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP). The Rising Stars of Indiana is designed to “honor high school juniors for their academic achievement.” This achievement is a sign of outstanding scholars in their junior year, which can increase visibility and scholarship opportunities in their future.

Since the fall of 2020, the “Accelerate the Good” campaign brought Kia’s charitable giving and positive messaging directly to the local communities that Kia dealerships serve.

In an unprecedented academic year, our graduates found that we were stronger and better when we faced challenges together. At the end of the prior academic year, the Prefect Board selected the phrase, “Together, We Will …” as this year’s school motto. With this mentality, our graduates were destined to seize the opportunity to be on-campus and learning, together.

The festival was an opportunity to come together as a community, celebrate the success of the semester, and showcase some Halloween costumes, too! The activities during the festival ranged from playing carnival games, riding a mechanical bull, racing on a blow-up obstacle course, and climbing a rock wall.

Pete McCormick, C.S.C., Holy Cross priest and Director of Campus Ministry at the University of Notre Dame, came out to La Lumiere’s campus to serve as the guest presider for the School’s Mass. The liturgy celebrated the Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary.

As part of our larger efforts to promote place-based learning at La Lumiere, a group of four students worked with Brian Tonino ’12 and Mrs. Judy Smith to take the first step in the restoration process over the course of the past two weekends.
