The Application Process
We're looking for intellectually curious candidates who are as excited about La Lumiere as we are. Stand-out applicants are committed to developing personally and academically, and understand the importance of being a part of a community that will both support and challenge them during their time at La Lumiere.
Step 1: make an Admissions Inquiry
To create your account in our Application Portal, you’ll need to fill out the Admissions Inquiry form below. After you submit your form, you’ll receive your application login information and a member of our team will get in touch with you to answer your questions or help you continue the process of applying.
If you have further questions, contact email@example.com or call (219) 326-7450.
Step 2: Apply via BlackBaud or using the SAO
Once we have processed your Admissions Inquiry you should receive an email from us containing login information to complete your application via the La Lumiere Application Portal with BlackBaud. La Lumiere also accepts the Standard Online Application (SAO). To learn more about using the SAO and begin your application, click here or find the button below.

step 3: Campus visit and Interview
Contact the Admissions team at email@example.com to schedule a campus visit and interview. Shadow days are strongly encouraged for all applicants. If you’d like more information about interviews and types of campus visits, click the link below.
Step 4: Financial Aid
Submit your application for financial aid (if applicable).
The benefits of a La Lumiere education are many and comprise the foundation of our students’ future success. We believe that the value of the La Lumiere experience is clear, but understand that affording an independent school tuition can sometimes present a significant obstacle. As such, we diligently work to help qualified families close the gap between what they can afford and the cost of a La Lumiere education.
Each academic year, La Lumiere provides financial assistance to one in four of our students who, for financial reasons, could not otherwise attend the school. Financial assistance decisions are based upon the need of the family and have no bearing on our admission decisions.
La Lumiere uses a third-party verification company, FACTS, to determine the eligibility of families interested in applying for tuition assistance. Families interested in applying for financial assistance should log into the FACTS website and follow the step-by-step instructions provided.
It is the policy of La Lumiere School not to discriminate in violation of the law on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, gender identity and expression, national origin, ancestry, or physical or mental disability which are unrelated to the ability to work or enjoy the benefits of the school's programs, facilities, or services. All persons are encouraged to apply.
