La Lumiere’s 2024 Spring Gala was a night to remember! Thank you to all who joined, contributed, and supported our mission. From the exciting auction and paddle raise to honoring Maria Fruth as the 2024 Community Advocate of the Year, the Spring Gala was truly unforgettable.

Your generosity ensures that each student receives the best educational experience possible. Every contribution helps us enhance our academic community and improve our school for the benefit of the students.

  • Q: What is the Spring Gala?

A: The Spring Gala is La Lumiere’s only fundraising event of the year. For independent schools like La Lumiere, fundraising and philanthropy play an essential role in ensuring our financial stability and success. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of a La Lumiere education. The Spring Gala, alongside the Laker Fund, raises the funds needed for the school’s general operating expenses, allowing us to provide an unmatched educational experience.

Q: Why is my attendance and support important?

A: In addition to this event being a critical component in the success of our school, it is a fun night out where you can experience delicious food and cocktails, dance the night away with friends, and celebrate the school.

When registering, please feel free to make seating requests in the notes section of the registration form, and we will do our best to accommodate.

Q: Does the ticket price raise money for the school?

A: The ticket price does not raise money for the school. The ticket covers an unforgettable evening filled with dinner, dessert, cocktails, music, and dancing! Participation in underwriting, sponsorship, the live auction, and the paddle raise is what raises money for our students and school.

Q: How can I volunteer for the Spring Gala?

A: We are so grateful for all of our volunteers! Each year we bring together event chairs and a host committee that help us put on a beautiful event that raises money for our school. If you re interested in volunteering, please reach out to Torie Jaques at tjaques@lalumiere.org

Q: Who is welcome to the Spring Gala?

A: Parents, grandparents, alumni, trustees, and anyone who is a part of the La Lu community is welcome to attend this event!

Q: I’m coming in from out of town. Do you have lodging recommendations?

A: For your convenience, a block of rooms has been reserved at Marina Grand Resort in New Buffalo, Michigan. When calling to make your reservation, please mention La Lumiere in order to receive a discounted rate. Please call (855) 606-3669 to make your reservation.

Q: Will there be a vegan or vegetarian option available?

A: Yes! Please make not of it during registration, and contact Torie if you have any additional questions.
