Student Support

Support is built into the fabric of La Lumiere. As a community, we honor every individual and treat all members with dignity and respect. Students have a place here, whether they’re from across town, across the country, or across the ocean. Our broad support network includes passionate and committed faculty and a Student Services office focused solely on meeting the academic, social, and emotional interests of students. Our mission is to ensure that students thrive not only while they’re here, but also in the decades that follow their time at La Lumiere.

Students also attend Advisory Meetings twice each week, which take place in a group setting and are meant to allow students to connect on a personal level with others in their advisory group and with a faculty member that they work closely with in academics or athletics. Advisors can be teachers, coaches, or administrators, and have the responsibility of communicating important information regarding grades, activities, and behavior to students and their parents. Advisory groups often bond over snacks, board games, and conversation, and sometimes travel off-campus together for group dinners.
