La Lumiere junior promotes safety through art

Jiatong (Vincy) Su, a junior boarding student from Shanghai, China, utilized her creative vision and created posters to remind the La Lumiere student body of simple safety measures that go a long way. 

Vincy created three unique posters, which showcase colorful designs and messages that encourage the viewers to wash their hands, keep physically distant, and wear a mask. “I hope I shared the right ideas and cautions for people,” Vincy said. She wants to encourage her classmates to take actions that protect their health and the health of others.

For over a decade, Vincy has been creating art as a way to relax. She uses her iPad and software to create the digital designs. Recently, she has begun to realize the power of her art and the ability to use her voice to help people.

Vincy embodies what it means to be a Laker. She took the initiative to create something that helps her community and utilizes her skills. We are grateful for Vincy and her contribution to our La Lu community.
