On Wednesday, October 7th, La Lumiere students and faculty gathered to worship together under a canopy of autumn leaves in the Amphitheater. Fr. Pete McCormick, C.S.C., Holy Cross priest and Director of Campus Ministry at the University of Notre Dame, came out to La Lumiere’s campus to serve as the guest presider for the School’s Mass. The liturgy celebrated the Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary.  “It was such a gift to be able to worship together in person on our beautiful campus and to give thanks for all the blessings of this school year, ” said Megan Effron, Director of Faith Exploration at La Lumiere.

After Mass, Alexa Harkness, La Lumiere’s Sacristan Prefect who oversees the school Faith Council, led students and faculty to The Grotto and invited everyone to light a candle and offer a prayer to Mary.

The liturgy was planned by students on the Faith Council, many of whom participated in the Mass as ushers or lectors.
