La Lumiere senior and Head Prefect Daniel Isaacs earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs. Daniel is one of 32,000 students from across the country to be honored this academic year.

“We are proud of Daniel, a serious scholar and a humble student leader, and we are glad to see him being recognized for his academic accomplishments,” says Andrew Hoyt, Assistant Head of School and Academic Dean. “It is an honor to have Daniel represent La Lumiere School among those awarded by the College Board National Recognition Program.”

National Recognition Programs grant students with academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications and connect students with universities across the country. This can develop meaningful connections to colleges and help students stand out during the admissions process.

“By awarding students who excel academically with honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs, our aim is to create pathways to college for underrepresented students,” said Steve Bumbaugh, College Board Senior Vice President of College & Career Access.

In order to be eligible for these academic honors, students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have excelled on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT10, or earned a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP Exams; and be African American or Black, Hispanic American or Latinx, Indigenous; and/or attend school in a rural area or small town.
