La Lumiere juniors Maisie Jenuwine, Dana Mulco, Sabina Patel, and Mia Risser were recently named Rising Stars of Indiana by the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP). The Rising Stars of Indiana is designed to “honor high school juniors for their academic achievement.” This achievement is a sign of outstanding scholars in their junior year, which can increase visibility and scholarship opportunities in their future.

On May 28, 2021, we celebrated our graduating seniors at La Lumiere’s 54th Commencement. In an unprecedented academic year, our graduates found that we were stronger and better when we faced challenges together. At the end of the prior academic year, the Prefect Board selected the phrase, “Together, We Will …” as this year’s school motto. David C. Langley Exhibit at La Lumiere

La Lumiere is proud to present a collection of David C. Langley paintings on exhibit in the Main Office. Joan Langley, Mr. Langley’s wife, is a former member of the prep school’s faculty and three of his children, John ‘74, Elaine ‘80, and David ‘88 are La Lumiere graduates. His paintings are on display for our visitors to take in when on campus for a tour, but also for our day and boarding students to view as they go about their day. Our prep school views this as a unique opportunity to highlight an artist, who has a personal connection to La Lumiere, inspired by the beautiful scenes so close to the campus.

Theo Smith, a sophomore from Long Beach, Indiana, was recently selected to the All-State Honor Band. The honor band is a part of 2021 Indiana Bandmasters Association’s Virtual All-State Bands.
