La Lumiere juniors Maisie Jenuwine, Dana Mulco, Sabina Patel, and Mia Risser were recently named Rising Stars of Indiana by the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP).

“Our junior class has done a remarkable job navigating the pandemic and continuing to grow as scholars during their high school careers,” said Andrew Hoyt, La Lumiere’s Academic Dean and Assistant Head of School, “and I am in awe of the exceptional academic achievements of these four students in particular. We are eager to see what they accomplish next!”

Throughout all of Indiana, 1,000 juniors from 256 schools received this honor.  “We congratulate these young people on all they have already achieved, as well as offer support and encouragement as they continue their accomplishments and expand their knowledge, growth, and leadership skills well into the future,” Jill Slinker, Director of Student Programs, wrote in a press release from the IASP.

The Rising Stars of Indiana is designed to “honor high school juniors for their academic achievement.” This achievement is a sign of outstanding scholars in their junior year, which can increase visibility and scholarship opportunities in their future.
