In 2011, the School Buddies program first paired with students from La Lumiere. The School Buddies program strives to make a positive difference in the lives of young people through one-to-one relationships during the school day. The opportunity fits into La Lumiere’s Wednesday Elective slot and promotes community service, which is an aspect of every student’s education.

La Lumiere Holds Annual Blood Drive

La Lumiere hosted the school’s in annual Red Cross Blood Drive in the Student Activity Center. In a year with many challenges in finding opportunities to serve, our community stepped up and participated fully in the blood drive. All registration spots were filled for the event, which exceeds participation numbers compared to past annual blood drives.
