Whether you are a family of a prospective boarding or day student, the core of this event is the opportunity to meet members of our close-knit community and learn more about what it means to be a Laker.

Read MoreOn May 28, 2021, we celebrated our graduating seniors at La Lumiere’s 54th Commencement. In an unprecedented academic year, our graduates found that we were stronger and better when we faced challenges together. At the end of the prior academic year, the Prefect Board selected the phrase, “Together, We Will …” as this year’s school motto. With this mentality, our graduates were destined to seize the opportunity to be on-campus and learning, together.

In a year with many challenges in finding opportunities to serve, our community stepped up and participated fully in the blood drive. All registration spots were filled for the event, which exceeds participation numbers compared to past annual blood drives.

Lou DelFra, C.S.C, who serves as the Director of Pastoral Life for the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) at Notre Dame. The Ash Wednesday Mass marks the beginning of the season of Lent.

Joan Langley, Mr. Langley’s wife, is a former member of the prep school’s faculty and three of his children, John ‘74, Elaine ‘80, and David ‘88 are La Lumiere graduates. His paintings are on display for our visitors to take in when on campus for a tour, but also for our day and boarding students to view as they go about their day. Our prep school views this as a unique opportunity to highlight an artist, who has a personal connection to La Lumiere, inspired by the beautiful scenes so close to the campus.

La Lumiere supports the mission of the Pax Center, which is working to engage food insecurity and improve the health of our community through access to healthy and nutritious foods, community education, and advocacy.

The festival was an opportunity to come together as a community, celebrate the success of the semester, and showcase some Halloween costumes, too! The activities during the festival ranged from playing carnival games, riding a mechanical bull, racing on a blow-up obstacle course, and climbing a rock wall.
